Why teams move to Rixe
One number you can defend
Every score carries an observation count and a confidence interval. When a prompt has been seen too few times, it shows no score at all rather than a figure nobody can stand behind.
Published pricing, whole coverage
Plans are priced on how many prompts you track. Every engine, every market and the daily refresh are in all of them, so widening coverage never changes the invoice.
Built to be handed over
A finding is only useful if someone can act on it. Every gap arrives with the sources behind it, the answer it came from, and a next step a writer or a developer can pick up.
Rixe measures whether a brand is named inside AI-generated answers, which is a different question from where a page ranks or how much traffic it received. It complements a rank tracker and an analytics suite rather than replacing either — the three answer different halves of the same problem.
Instrument by instrument
What each tool is actually for
Rank trackers
Tell you the position of a page you own on a results page. They cannot see inside a generated answer, and a page ranking first is regularly absent from the AI answer to the same question.
Web analytics
Tell you what happened after someone arrived. AI answers frequently end without a click at all, so the visit that would have been measured never occurs and the loss is invisible.
Manual spot checks
Asking an assistant yourself is a sample of one, on one day, from one location, with your own account's history attached. It is how most teams start and why most teams reach the wrong conclusion.
Agency reporting
Usually a periodic summary of the above. Useful for direction, but the underlying answer text is rarely stored, so a number that moves cannot be opened and explained.
In depth
How to read a comparison page
A comparison page is only useful if it can say where the other tool is better, and most of these can. A rank tracker is a better rank tracker than we will ever be; a crawler is a better crawler; a social listening tool hears things no answer engine ever sees. None of them measures what an assistant says about you.
The questions worth carrying into any of these pages are the same four. What is the unit — a keyword, a page, a mention, an answer? Where does the data come from? What happens when the sample is too small? And can you open a number and see the evidence underneath it?
Where a competitor's own material is the source, we say so and link to it, and we do not paraphrase a price or a limit we have not checked this quarter. Vendors change plans quietly; a comparison written once and left standing becomes a misrepresentation without anyone deciding to make it one.

Thoughts on Rixe
“
I was most interested in the focus on brand perception. Being visible in AI is good, but it's also important whether the brand is shown positively, negatively, or just as an alternative. The problem Rixe is working on is really meaningful in this regard.
“
It has a simple product approach. It's good that they're trying to make a complex topic more understandable.
“
When you think about it from an agency perspective, it's easier to understand why such a platform is necessary. Showing a client Google rankings is easy, but explaining why competitors are recommended more on ChatGPT or other AI platforms isn't so easy. Rixe's focus on this gap is a good choice. It could especially attract teams that prepare regular visibility analyses for different brands.
Frequently asked
From each vendor’s own published pages, checked on 2026-09. Where a vendor does not publish something, the row says so rather than carrying a guess.
Placement follows each vendor’s own published category, nothing more. The horizontal axis is whether a tool stops at reading the answer or turns it into work; the vertical axis is AI-native versus search-native.
Because you are comparing anyway. Naming them lets us be specific about what each tool does well rather than describing a strawman.
Positions on a search results page, at scale and cheaply. If your reporting is built on rankings, keep them; they answer a different question than this does.
In what they store. Some keep a score, some keep the answer. Only keeping the answer lets you ask why the score moved a month later.
For one reading, yes — ours is free and takes a URL. It cannot show a trend, because a trend needs the same prompts asked on a schedule.
Same prompt set, same engines, same market, same fortnight, in every tool you are testing. Different prompt sets produce different worlds and prove nothing.
Most teams run both for now. The overlap is small: one covers the page of links, the other the answer that replaced it for some questions.
If you need enterprise crawling and site auditing as the core product, or a keyword database, buy the tool built for that. We measure answers and act on them.
Yes, paste or upload it. Keeping your own list is the only way a comparison against your previous tool means anything.
