Thoughts on Rixe

Everyone in marketing talks about AI, but measurement is still a bit messy. Rixe at least provides a framework for looking at concrete data in this area. It's an approach that could be useful, especially when preparing content strategies.
I think they've focused on the right problem at the right time. I'm curious to see how the product evolves over time.
Tracking how visible companies are on AI platforms wasn't really discussed a few years ago. Now, people directly consult ChatGPT when choosing software, researching services, or comparing products. So, brands need to understand how they appear in these answers. Rixe addresses this need quite clearly. Especially the competitor analysis and source visibility aspects make sense to me. Of course, interpreting the data correctly is important, because AI answers don't always give the same result.

Frequently asked

Refresh pages losing citations, tell Slack.

Find citation loss → At least N? → Refresh page → Notify Slack

A page that was cited for a prompt in previous runs and is not in the latest ones, with the answer still being produced.

No, and the default waits for the loss to hold across several runs. Engines drop and restore citations day to day.

A fresher competing source entered the answer, or the page changed in a way that removed the fact the answer was using.

Because losses are worth discussing, and the thread keeps the decision next to the evidence. Email is available if you prefer it.

It drafts the refresh. Publishing is a separate switch, and most teams leave it off for pages that carry claims.

It flags when your own page changed in the same window, so a self-inflicted loss is labelled as one rather than blamed on the engine.

The notification names it. Sometimes the honest answer is to target the neighbouring prompt instead of fighting a source you cannot displace.

Days to weeks, depending on how often the engine re-reads it. The panel shows the re-read rather than asking you to assume it.
