your brandcategory average

Three numbers, one screen. Enough to know which way the week went.

What it answers

Three things decide how AI sees your brand

Visibility

How many of your category's answers contain your name. Nothing else means anything before this.

Average rank

If you appear, where. The distance between the first two names and the fifth is far longer than it looks.

Tone

Which adjective lands next to your name. The same score, said two different ways, produces two different outcomes.

In depth

Why this screen exists

A dashboard earns its place by being readable in ten seconds by someone who did not build it. Three numbers do that work: the share of answers that named you, where in the order you landed, and how much of the category you are even being asked about. Everything else on the screen exists to qualify those three.

Qualification is the part most dashboards skip. A rate with eleven runs behind it and a rate with four hundred look identical in a bar chart and mean entirely different things, so the sample and the interval travel with the number wherever it goes — into the weekly email, into the PDF, into the slide somebody will argue with.

Read it weekly, not daily. Engines are stochastic; a two-point move on a Tuesday is usually noise, and a team that reacts to noise spends the quarter rewriting pages that were never the problem. The screen is built around the week for that reason, with the day view kept for the times you need to prove an incident.

Thoughts on Rixe

When you think about it from an agency perspective, it's easier to understand why such a platform is necessary. Showing a client Google rankings is easy, but explaining why competitors are recommended more on ChatGPT or other AI platforms isn't so easy. Rixe's focus on this gap is a good choice. It could especially attract teams that prepare regular visibility analyses for different brands.
I don't see AI visibility as just a trend. People's research habits are changing, and brands need to adapt. Rixe is positioned on the measurement side of this change, which I think is the right area.
Understanding why competitors are recommended might be more valuable than just seeing your own visibility. Rixe's approach to this topic interested me.

Frequently asked

Visibility — how often you are named. Rank — where in the answer. Tone — how you are described. Three numbers rather than one, because they move for different reasons and are fixed by different work.

The last thirty days by default, with a ninety-day view a click away, and every figure refreshed daily so the week-over-week move is a real comparison.

Share of answers, mentions against the category, and movement since last week. Enough to know the direction before you open anything.

Because a screen with twenty numbers is read by nobody. The detail is one click deeper; the top of the dashboard is for the question 'is this better or worse'.

Yes, the metrics are selectable per project. Most teams leave the default until a specific campaign makes a fourth number matter.

Both. The default is every engine you have on, and the engine filter narrows the same three numbers without changing their definition.

Same prompts, same engines, the two seven-day windows that just ended. Nothing is compared against a partial week, which is what makes Monday numbers misleading elsewhere.

Yes, it has a display mode with no chrome that refreshes on its own. Teams that run it in the office tend to notice a drop the day it happens.

You set the threshold; the notification carries the prompt and the answer that caused it, so the alert is already the start of the investigation.

Daily is for whoever owns the content queue. Monthly is the report, and the report is generated from the same numbers so the two never disagree.
