In depth

How to use this library

This library is organised by the question you arrived with, not by format. If you need a definition, the glossary is the shortest path. If you need the method, the guide runs in order. If you are comparing instruments, the comparison pages take one competitor at a time and say where each is genuinely better.

Everything here is written by the people who build the platform, which is a limitation as much as a credential. We know the measurement well and we have an obvious interest in it mattering, so the rule we hold ourselves to is simple: any claim about how engines behave is either something we measured or something we attribute to whoever did.

Where the field is genuinely unsettled — how much weight a given source carries, how long a change takes to show up, whether a sponsored placement is labelled — we say so rather than filling the gap with confident prose. A library that pretends to certainty it does not have is worth less than a shorter one that does not.

Measuring isn't the end. The real work comes after.

The four screens below are the whole path from a measurement to a task.

Thoughts on Rixe

There are a lot of SEO tools, but when you try to understand why your brand isn't recommended in ChatGPT, things change a bit. Rixe is shaped exactly around this problem. I think it's a good approach.
Interesting product. I particularly liked the idea of comparing AI visibility with competitors.
What I find truly valuable here isn't just counting how many times a brand is mentioned. It's trying to understand which questions AI recommends a brand for, alongside which competitors, and in what way. Because being mentioned in an answer and actually being recommended are different things. It's good that Rixe addresses this distinction. It will also be important to see how consistent the data is over time.

Frequently asked

The guide chapters, the glossary, the comparison pages and the articles — everything written here about being named by AI, in one index rather than scattered across a blog.

When there is something measured worth publishing. Nothing here is filler written to a content calendar; if a week produced no finding, no post appears that week.

The guide, the glossary, the research, the free tools and the articles — everything we publish that is not a product page.

No. Nothing here asks for an email before it will show you the content, including the research.

The guide, then the free visibility check on your own domain. Reading the theory before seeing your own result makes the theory harder to place.

The guide and glossary when the engines change something material; the research quarterly; the articles as they are written.

Yes, with a link back. Several teams run the guide as an internal onboarding doc, and we would rather that than have it rewritten badly.

Rarely, and only from someone with data we do not have. A post that restates the category to earn a link is not worth either side's time.

One email when something is genuinely new: a measured finding, a real engine change, a release worth knowing about.

The team that builds the product, which is why the articles cite our own runs and admit the things that did not work.
