What it answers

Three things decide how AI sees your brand

share of voice · 30 days

Your proportion of all brand mentions across a tracked set of category prompts, over a period. It is the closest AI-search equivalent of category market share.

Leaders

The model's reflex answer. What feeds it is in the source report.

Contested

Rivals seen a lot and spoken of poorly. There is ground to take here.

In depth

Why this screen exists

A competitor table built from answers is a different document from the one marketing keeps. It contains whoever the sources put beside you: sometimes a company you have never met in a deal, sometimes a marketplace, sometimes an agency's own blog that happens to rank for your category.

Two columns carry most of the meaning: how often each brand is named, and how often it is named first. A rival two points behind you on presence and ten points ahead on first position is winning the category and losing the report — and the difference between those two readings is the difference between a meeting that goes well and one that goes badly.

Movement is the useful part, and it is slow enough to act on. Category positions shift over weeks rather than days, so a rival climbing three weeks running is a signal, not a blip — and opening the profile shows what they did: which sources they entered, which topics they took, which questions changed hands.

Thoughts on Rixe

The good thing is: Thanks to tools like these, marketing teams might not just have to guess. Even if AI answers aren't always consistent, tracking specific queries over time can reveal meaningful trends. That's why I find the area Rixe focuses on valuable. It's an interesting topic, especially for companies looking to grow their brand in the international market.
It might not be a platform every company needs immediately, but it's a tool to consider for brands that care about acquiring customers through AI.
It's clear that a new area is emerging in digital marketing. We used to talk about brands being discoverable in search engines; now we're asking the same question for AI systems. It's striking that Rixe is one of the products addressing this change early on. Competitor analysis, visibility tracking, and examining which topics brands are associated with are complementary features. I find it particularly interesting how this data can be linked to content strategies. In the long run, we might see AI visibility among the standard metrics marketing teams track.

Frequently asked

The answers put them there — the brands named next to you on the prompts you track. You can add or remove any of them, including an advertiser that turns up on your questions.

That a rival’s pass rate moved against yours on the same prompt set. Opening the rival shows what fed it: which sources cite it, which questions it wins and where it moved.

Whoever the answers name alongside you, not a list you type. Brands you never considered rivals appear here because the engine treats them as substitutes.

You can pin a name you care about and hide one that is noise. Hiding does not delete the data, so the share still adds up.

The brand named in the largest portion of answers for your prompt set. It is a measured position, not a market-share claim, and the screen says so.

Top positions move slowly; the middle of the table churns weekly. That churn is where a new entrant shows up before anyone in the market notices.

You see which sources the answers naming them relied on. That is public information the engine surfaced, and it is usually the fastest read on why they win a question.

Yes, the table is per market. The leader in one country routinely is not the leader next door, which is the point of reading it by market.

Yes, on any prompt or on the overall share. The alert carries the answer that flipped, so the first thing you see is the evidence.

As the answer to 'why did the buyer already mention them'. The table shows where the buyer heard the name, and the stored answer shows in what words.

The questions your buyers are already asking

Three numbers, one screen. Enough to know which way the week went.
